The latest warehouse party to hit the scene took place this past weekend. The party was a collaborative effort between Time To Get Ill and event promoters Immerse. The New York party was hidden in the crevasses of Brooklyn and took place on January 30th. The wind and below freezing temperatures didn’t deter party go’ers from listening to beats being played by Robag Wruhme who is one half of the Wighnomy Brothers and Crazy Larry. Robag played some modern day tech house tracks and a collection of old sounds produced to sound new. He played DJ Rolando’s ‘Knights of Jaguar’ Check out the pictures and some video from the event after the post.

This years award for most persistent and dedicated techno music act easily goes to The Wighnomy Brothers. We were first exposed to their love and passion for DJ’ing after seeing them earlier this Fall at the Blk|Market Membership & reSOLUTE collaboration event. These two guys were able to play a 12 hour set with their eyes closed LITERALLY, never running out of tracks and mixing some of the most prominent songs in tech house. They didn’t end their exhausting tour schedule in New York, they kept it moving and ended up at the Danube Rave in Austria. Our good friends over at Nightclubber provided a set that was recorded during the Wighnomy Brothers performance. You can download the set by clicking here.

The summer is now behind us, which means that New York City will start gearing up for a fresh season of indoor events featuring some of the best acts in electronic music. The first event of the Fall season, is a note worthy party that took place on October 3rd & 4th at a secret warehouse location in the middle of an industrial section in Brooklyn, NY. The collaboration event between heavy weight NYC electronic music promoters Blk|Market Membership & reSOLUTE was an absolute hit. The two day event began shortly after dawn on October 3rd, featuring Elon, Connie, Matthias Meyer, Dilo & Paul Ritch. With over 1500 people in attendance throughout the night, the bass was bouncing off the walls and the crowd was stomping against the floor. Once the French “wizard” Paul Ritch graced the stage the crowed completely erupted, Ritch played a live set which featured some fan favorites such as Jackson Falvour and Postive Education. While his set was short, it was very special since it isn’t everyday that Ritch comes to New York City. Following up Ritch’s set was Airdrop artist Dilo, who kept the crowd moving with a more downtempo tracklisting. As the event continued into the wee hours of October 4th, it was taken outside by Blk|Market Membership’s resident DJ’s Taimur & Fahad playing track for track. The two relentlessly played until the highly anticipated arrival of the Wighnomy Brothers. As the cool air breezed through the tent covering the legendary duo, the music began to rumble for the next six hours. Initially the German brothers were scheduled to wrap their set up at 9:00 pm, but upon their request, the event was pushed till 4:00 am. The duo played for 12-hours straight! For those of you that weren’t able to attend are in luck, Blk|Market Membership & reSOLUTE will be collaborating again for a very special Halloween event! Stay tuned for more details!
