Saturday, April 17th, Verboten brings back Brazil’s Gui Boratto to club Love, reveling in the success of his new release on the Renaissance label. Gui Boratto is a renaissance man to say the least, gifted with talents ranging from music to architecture. A prominent producer and phenomenal performer, Gui Boratto uses an impressive array of apparatuses during his dynamic live sets including Abelton, a monome, a JazzMutant multitouch controller and an Evolution Uc33e, sometimes even incorporating a live guitar player. Along with his brother Tchorta, Boratto runs the Brazilian independent label Megamusic, helping foster a solidarity within the electronic music scene in Brazil. He will play alongside the talents of Flawless residents Stadenco and Brad Miller, never failing to give New York its proper musical dosage. For a taste of techno honey, check out Gui Boratto and Stadenco on the Flawless podcast.
