The band Underworld has partnered up with developer iZotope to create a new iPhone iDrum Application that contains some of their most famous techno classics. The breakthrough app allows users to remix, re-sequence, and reconstruct 12 songs including “Born Slippy,” “Two Months Off” and “Cowgirl,” as well as a new piece created exclusively for the iDrum Application. Also featured is specially commissioned artwork from Tomato’s John Warwicker. Underworld is also giving away a special live version of “Born Slippy” at Brixton Academy, which you can download here. The band has announced North American dates for August, and will be attempting the first free, live audio-visual broadcast to the iPhone on Friday, August 7th 2009 from their set at The Fox Oakland Theater. Tour dates follow the post.
