Above is a timelapse video of a mural D*Face created in the Meatpacking District of New York City. D*Face is an English street artist who has work all over the world, as well as two sold out solo exhibitions in London and Brighton in 2006 and 2007. The mural is a great example of his work; his influences include Shepard Fairey, hip hop, punk music, and animated cartoons.

The prints are worth checking out and have the iconic Dalek character who is featured on two of the prints.

In Turin Italy, the art of BR1 has been popping up all over the city streets. BR1’s project focuses on the representation of Muslim women and their social condition. The artist says, “I made a deep research and I discovered that I am the only artist in the street art movement that deals entirely with this topic. Isn’t it strange? In general, the woman is the best source of inspiration for artists, why Muslim women wouldn’t be the same?” The Muslim women are represented in daily life situations, and each is drawn and colored freehand. They are taken from actual images from the media and put out on the street, creating a higher visibility like the image of the Western woman.

Artist Banksy is scheduled to have his next major showing in his hometown of Bristol at the Bristol Museum. British news agency BBC, broke the news with the latest sneak peak at what Bansky has in store. The exhibit is scheduled to have 100 different works, 70 of those particular have never been seen before. Banksy has successfully taken street art off the street and put it into the mainstream with his edgy work, which include political and social ideas conveyed through art. This is scheduled to be the biggest showing Banksy have ever done, and is going to be one of the most breakthrough showings this year.
