Berghain’s resident DJ Marcel Dettmann is regarded today as one of the most interesting acts coming out of Germany. His sound is very similar to the music being played during the rave days with an extra intensifying experience. Techno website Little White Earbuds sat down with Dettmann right before his DJ set at Brooklyns underground Bunker party. He talked about some of his original inspirations that allowed him to delve into electronic music, and what drives his musical inspirations. “Techno for me… I mean, I live techno. I live it all the time. I love it. Techno for me is like a 24-hour job. When I wake up, I think about music; when I go to sleep, I think about music. I think about it all the time. German DJ and producer Marcel Dettmann made his presence felt during his recent appearance at the Bunker Party on July 3rd. The bunker is known for it’s great atmosphere of complete darkness, and diverse sounds projecting through the speakers. Marcel Dettmann played heart stomping techno tracks that vibrated off your ear drums. The floor shook violently as the crowed stomped their feet to the hard bass slapping against the walls. It isn’t everyday that NYC is lucky enough to experience some of Europe’s finest talent, and for this reason this was a very special show. Beyond Booking Presents German techno DJ Marcel Dettmann who is scheduled to make his return to New York on July 3rd by kicking off the 4th of July weekend in style. Dettmann has been one of the most notable DJ acts of 2009, by serving up performances during major festivals like Sonar and playing in Germany’s hottest clubs. His style consists of very hard techno that is reminiscent of the rave days sound which was developed during the early 90’s. Dettmann will be joined by Marcel Fengler and Spinoza in the back room. Move D will headline the front room along with Anthony Parasole and Eric Cloutier .

We love Space Ibiza Week 3 June 28 2009, has a mixed line up that will feature DJ’s Ben Watt Marcel Dettmann, Miss Kittin and The Hacker live set and much more. Space Ibiza is known for their twenty four hour party’s and non stop bass pumping music. Since the new sound law was placed by local Island officials, the party’s go from 4pm to 6am.
