Gradient Magazine Electric Zoo Coverage Day 1 Part 2
We are nearing the end of Electric Zoo Day 1 here at Randall’s Island, New York City. The event has exceeded our expectations and is probably one of the best festivals New York City has seen in sometime. The acts were absolutely amazing spanning from Luciano to Deadmau5. The diverse crowd and enthusiasm shown by the DJ’s really touched down at this event. We last left off with Ben Watt, proceeding his set were some of our favorite DJ’s Francois K, Luciano, Danny Tenaglia, Speedy J. We were blown away by Luciano who played some of the best tracks coming out of Ibiza. Following his amazing set was New York City club legend Danny Tenaglia. Danny T was on fire playing banger after banger. He managed to mix in Afefe Iku – Mirror Dance and a collection of other classics. The good people over at Electric Zoo had a great start to their event. For those of you that couldn’t make it to the September 5th event still have a chance to purchase tickets for tomorrows event. Hope to see you there!
Cadenza records label boss Luciano has made his impact worldwide, playing practically every major club on the planet from Amnesia to Panorama bar. His relentless tracks will suck in anyone that has a fine taste for good music, we were first exposed to this superstar DJ at a secret party in New York City by the name of Mini Moo. When entering the tightly packed venue, we were totally unaware why 1500 people would pack the place, after listening to Luciano play some tech house classics like Michel Cleis’ La Mezcla and SIS’ Trompeta we were instantly hooked. For those of you that have never heard of Luciano will be given an opportunity to purchase his latest CD/DVD, which is scheduled to release on 10.12.2009 entitled Tribute To The Sun. In the meantime check out the trailer for the upcoming DVD.
