Earworm by Djdownload.com recently interviewed Click Box, a duo who have created their own signature hybrid of proto-house, electro and techno. Marco AS and Pedro Turra aka Click Box have spent fourteen years on the Brazilian music scene and have now become part of the Minus family after releasing their Espaco e tempo EP in 2007. They give credit to Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Orbital, Joy Division and Caberet Voltaire as their influences, and incorporate the best elements to give their sound a “timeless, genre-defying flavour.” Along with the interview, you can also download their top ten songs and watch a couple of clips of Click Box in action.
Earworm Interviews Underground Minus DJ & Producer Barem
Earworm by djdownload.com recently interviewed underground producer Mauricio Barembuem aka Barem. They call him the perfect personification of the new breed of electronic music – he has grown up during the digital age and embraced it fully, using software programs like Reason and Ableton. The Argentinian born DJ met Richie Hawtin back in 2005 in Buenos Aires and began a relationship with Minus. In 2007 he released his debut EP Never Better Than Late on the label. Little White Earbuds Sits Down With Marcel Dettmann
Berghain’s resident DJ Marcel Dettmann is regarded today as one of the most interesting acts coming out of Germany. His sound is very similar to the music being played during the rave days with an extra intensifying experience. Techno website Little White Earbuds sat down with Dettmann right before his DJ set at Brooklyns underground Bunker party. He talked about some of his original inspirations that allowed him to delve into electronic music, and what drives his musical inspirations. “Techno for me… I mean, I live techno. I live it all the time. I love it. Techno for me is like a 24-hour job. When I wake up, I think about music; when I go to sleep, I think about music. I think about it all the time. DJ & Producer Jamie Jones Sits Down With Beat Portal
UK based DJ & Producer Jamie Jones has just released his latest album “Summertime” under Damian Lazarus’ famed label Crosstown Rebels. The highly anticipated release is unlike any other currently being pressed in electronic music. His resume is extensive which includes touring all over the world, landing in cities such as Berlin, London, Sydney, Ibiza, New York City, Montreal and the list goes on. He is most notable for his gigs with Circoloco and is also scheduled to play the opening/closing party at DC10’s Circoloco which will take place on October 6th in Ibiza, Spain. For those of you in the US, you will be able to see Jamie Jones during his upcoming North American Tour which will be starting off in Toronto and landing in cities like New York and Los Angeles.
