This undulating bridge is the creation of RSP Architects Planners & Engineers and IJP Corporation. Called Henderson Waves, the structure is Singapore’s highest pedestrian bridge at 36 meters above the ground. The sculptural walkway creates sheltered seating areas inside every upward curve and was built with wood and steel. The project aimed to unite the city’s southern ridges and both its linking function and its beautiful organic shape was cause to be awarded the President’s Design award at Singapore Design Week 09.
