September is full of some very high profile techno events in New York City, the month will be kicked off with the highly anticipated Electric Zoo Festival and a bunch of other events that are scheduled to make noise will follow. Event promoters Flawless Sound have announced the booking of Minus recording artist Magda for a very special event that is scheduled on September 11th. The night of loud minimalistic techno will take place in Brooklyn’s art and hipster capital Williamsburg. New York’s favorite DJ’s Memek & Connie will both be joining Magda for this special night along with Andrew Vogt. Get your tickets early here, these might just sell out before the event.

Artist Mark Dean Veca’s “As Cold As They Come” exhibition is scheduled to take place on September 12th – October 10th at the Jonathan Levine Gallery NYC. The exhibition is a spin on cartoon characters from the Popeye series. Veca never fails to impress, the highly anticipated gallery will be worth checking out if you are in New York City. New York City’s Capsule tradeshow just wrapped up. Taking place in the downtown district of Manhattan the show was full of new energetic labels like Timo and S**R. The show took place from July 21st and 22nd. Fighting against today’s extremely volatile retail industry has restricted many buyers from attending the show, on the other hand there was a significant amount of press covering the event.
