| Earworm Interviews Underground Minus DJ & Producer Barem |
Earworm by djdownload.com recently interviewed underground producer Mauricio Barembuem aka Barem. They call him the perfect personification of the new breed of electronic music – he has grown up during the digital age and embraced it fully, using software programs like Reason and Ableton. The Argentinian born DJ met Richie Hawtin back in 2005 in Buenos Aires and began a relationship with Minus. In 2007 he released his debut EP Never Better Than Late on the label. Blkmarket Membership in conjunction with New York City’s Love nightclub presented, Minus DJ’s Richie Hawtin, Ambivalent and Barem. Friday, June 27th Hawtin served up a solo extended set and played 4-hours straight. Headlining the night, Hawtin combined many different elements of electronic music by blending minimal with hard bass thumping European techno. Hawtin played some new tracks that we followed using Hawtin’s Twitter DJ Application, which automatically posted the current track being projected through the speakers.
