This residence was created by Paris-based Jouin Manku with the intent of housing a ‘power family’ in Malaysia. The innovative design has no clear spatial definition between the interior and exterior due to the clear glass façade. Both traditional and contemporary design elements are combined to assemble the “ultimate expression” of both the taste and the industrial capabilities of an extremely influential family on the city of Kuala Lumpur and its quickly growing skyline.

David Changs East Village restaurant, Momofuko Ko, is where the frozen shaved foie gras with lychee, Riesling gelíe, and pine nut brittle continues to amaze. Its almost spooky that something so delicious could even exist. I’m convinced that David Chang is a robot that was designed to stimulate human taste buds. After the first spoonful entered my mouth I looked at my friend and just started laughing. The creamy foie gras shavings paired perfectly with the lychee. The pine nut brittle added an intense texture battle while the Riesling tied the whole dish together. Every palate should experience this at least once.

Photographers Ashot Gevorkyan and Yaryshev Evgeny have recently collaborated on a photography series titled “In Da Car.” Each still image is a freeze frame of an extreme situation in a car.
