Picture this: undisclosed locations, secret passageways, a pirate ship, and some of electronic music’s top DJ’s spinning at a 23 hour extravaganza. No, it wasn’t a Johnny Depp acid trip, it was the Resolute party, the latest creation from the gracious and mysterious host. From its inauspicious beginnings at a falafel joint on an unremarkable block in Brooklyn, the night blossomed into one of the hottest events of the summer.

With near military precision, Resolute’s organizers set up van transportation system to whisk guests from the meeting place down to a waterfront complex. From there, partygoers walked the planks down a narrow alley to reach a little known canal where a hidden boat sat docked. Okay, so maybe it was an old fishing boat, but it was flying a jolly roger.

Once on the boat there were a plethora of party options. Two floors inside with two different DJ’s spinning simultaneously, plus four outdoor decks provided a variety of changing atmospheres for guests to choose from. Complete with a fashion show on deck as well as swinging hammocks down below, it was the perfect setting for an epic party.

The dance floors stayed packed well into the next day, with only a slight break for a crowd to gather on the upper deck to welcome in the sun and the second half of the party. DJ after DJ seemed perfectly in tune with the pulse of the party, sensing when to ramp up the music and when to tone it down, keeping the guest rocking for almost a full 24. With this epic 10pm to 9pm event, Resolute may now stake claim to being one of the best parties in NYC.
