Architects Nacho Ruiz and Jose Antonio Ruiz completed this project in Spain. Located in the middle of the Cantabrian Mountains in the mining town Degaña, the two perpendicular social housing buildings were the first residential construction there in over 25 years. Each of the 15 homes inside are different by size or layout but all have sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. The three story façade is permeated by the square eyelets of each residence and the buildings connect the two existing urban plots in the village. Photos by Ignacio Martinez.
