The Mariposa chair was designed by Kate Rider, a recent graduate of the Edinburgh College of Art in Scotland. Inspired by the feminine craft of lace making with the masculinity of metalwork, the Mariposa chair meshes the duality nicely into a delicate yet sturdy frame. The patterns on the floor level lounge chair are reminiscent of its English translation, the butterfly, and it comes in both black and white.
