It seems that NYC’s street food vendors are continuously evolving and putting out better food by the day. A hot dog and pretzel used to be the standard, now New Yorkers can grab food on the go with out sacrificing options. Gourmet taco trucks are on the rise, gyros and shiskabobs are everywhere, grilled chicken, steak, shrimp with vegetables and rice are a favorite, and even pizza vans are starting to emerge. Wafels & Dinges, a Belgium style van, definitely sets the bar for street vendors. They have a menu that could cover breakfast needs all the way to dessert cravings.
